Chillerton
Self Titled
Released : September 2004 -CNC#008
You know how when you hear a band and you just instantly really like them ? well chillerton deffinatly did that with me, i had heard a few bad things about them untill i finally got my hands on their split with W.A.E.F a couple of years ago , and for me , that split EP is probably the best split to have come out of the uk and the "winter in june" and steel rules die" split being the only other thing to come close.

I fucking adore this MCD/EP whatever you wanna call it.There is just something about Chillerton that draws me toward them, its the combination of husky, almost hot water music style vocals and the shout along lyrics that does it for me. The upbeat melodic emo/hardcore mixed stlye of music is stunning, and there songs are so catchy that you will be singing/shouting along in no time
The biggest and most annoying thing about this , is the fact it's only about 10 minutes long , which just pisses you off when your sat singing along .The addition of the female vocalist is a pleasant suprise. At first i wasnt to sure of what to make of the female vocals, but soon i realised that they do go really well with husky male vocals.A suberb release from the ever growing Cat N Cakey Records, A must have for fans of good music

Chillerton - M.M.W. Rating 4/5
